I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.
Debate...please give opinions
I think the black album actually signified Metallica's death. They will never be the same.

I like Metallica a lot better, but I havent heard a song by them I couldnt play (which really isnt saying much). All in all, Im really not impressed by either Metallica or Megadeth. Kirk's solos are better, but anything will sound cool when you play it that fast.
Dont shoot yourself in the head.

Crying is so girlie......... I never do

i like to think master of puppets as representing their death.....it has a graveyard on it's cover ;) and cliff burton was a huge part of their music that got "us" hooked......whats his dingle from flotsam and jetsom was not a good addition....may have been control by others in the band, but his input was nill unlike cliff. the black was not bad but i don't think it compares to the earlier 3, imo.

Yeah, with Rob Trujillo contributing to the songwriting, I reckon it'll be much bluesier and more pacey, perhaps even a bit funky

If at first you don't succeed, you are obviously not Chuck Norris.

i don't really measure how good a band is by whether or not i can play their stuff. my favorite band is Failure, and their stuff isn't overly technical, but it sounds good. i find a lot of people that stretch to play superhuman speeds are doing it to cover up the fact they can't play anything very interesting.
Just talking about Hammett's solos in generall. I like slow songs also. Hammett just got on the pentatonic and shredded like there was no tomorrow, but I really dont think theyre the best composed solos. So I think we actually do agree.

He hasn't always just shredded the pentatonic. I mean, okay, he always uses the pentatonic lol, but on "Reload" and "The Black Album", his soloing is quite tuneful and tasteful, and goes beyond just attacking at high speed (unlike "Kill 'em All", where he just shows off).
