That was suprizingly close. I love Gary Moore but I thought Rhoads would woop him. Rhoads wins.

Yeah it's incredible, especally when he holds that one note in the main solo. He holds it for about 30 seconds.

i'd have to go with townshend

the "gerry" in Jerry Garcia is spelled with a "J"
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

If you're asking who's the better musician, I would say Pete Townshend, but since we are asking who's the better GUITARIST, I'd have to say Jerry Garcia.
My vote: Jerry Garcia.

Pete Townshend barely pulls through. This next one should be interesting.

Jeff Beck, no contest

Is Yngwie Malmsteen in this thing?

Just a quick question to Ace,
are we looking at only the rock guitarists here or the ones in jazz and classical as well, such as Pat Metheny, Steve Morse, Muddy Waters, John Williams and the like?

Rock guitarists but probably I'll have another war after this and it will be different styles.

Jeff Beck takes the cake. Personally I think he is the greatest guitarist of all time.

COMPETITION #12

KURT COBAIN (NIRVANA) VS. DUANE ALLMAN (ALLMAN BROTHERS)

Please think of Kurt as a guitarist in this not a song writer. I don't like his guitar playing but someone might.
