http://www.craigslist.org/sby/car/115766414.html

then it would be a holly jolly christmas for me indeed!

btw, to anyone that was wondering what became of my dad's car... I went into kragen auto parts today, and ordered a new turn signal casing, which is the only thing that really needs replacing... and it was $26... guess I got off lucky this time and didn't have to throw hundreds of dollars down on this thing. and learned a valuable lesson in the process.

A friend of mine had an eclipse similar to that. It was a nice car. Good luck on your purchase!

I read the title and thought you meant a real baby at first.

Whatever you do, don't eat limes. A friend of mine ate a lime once and BAM!! Two years later. Herpes.

I think you have to go to China to buy real babies.

My best friend has a 95 Eclipse. His is smoke grey, is about 2 and 1/2 inches off the ground (accurate estamite!), Darkest legal tint, a badass wavy spoiler, full body kit, and a cold air intake.

BTW Ponyone is probably right about the engine though. Before my friend got this one from my cousin it had it's engine replaced. Some guy blew it on the highway. Check the mileage and get a background!

Here's a pic of my friend's ride so you know what you could do with that car.

it has 86,000-ish miles, and I'm going to have it looked over by a mechanic before I buy it... but I e-mailed the guy, and he just responded saying that he would be allowing people to test drive it on saturday after 3 pm... and this saturday I am working from 3 pm to midnight... so... I dunno that I'm going to be able to get it now.

by supe it up, do you mean like the other pictures that were posted on this thread?

I might do a few things, but nothing major like taking out every unecessary thing for weight reduction, or doing full carbon fiber everything. but a friend of mine has one, all he did was some rims, lowered it a little, blacked out the tailights, and added blue neon underglows, and it looks soooo nice! and he put in a new engine (when he bought it, it didn't have a running engine) which he ordered from japan. and he put in a stage 3 turbocharger.. it now tops out at 110 mph in 3rd gear!

Whatever you do, please don't get one of those "angry bumble bee in a coffee can" tail pipes. Those things just piss me off for some reaon. They look silly, and sound even worse. In the end, it's still just a little 4 cylinder. I guess I'm old school, because I just don't get these "suped up" little rice burners.

well, I feel like I got my education for the day... lol. but, the guy I was talking about, I don't know how many horses he has under the hood of his eclipse, I just know he's gone 110 in 3rd gear.. the amazing part is, he bought the car for $1000 in not running condition, put in a new engine which he paid less then $2000 for, the stage 3 turbo was probably pretty expensive though, but overall, he has put less then $7,000 in his car, including the cosmetic upgrades, and can do 110 in 3rd gear.. I think he probably went up to 110, then decided to ease off for fear of the speeds the thing could reach in 4th or 5th gear!

Ha ha, guess I stepped on someones toes. I know they can be made in to bad ass little cars. I just "prefer" an American muscle car. There's no doubt in my mind that one of those suped up rice burners will kick a muscle cars butt in one of those cone track's, or whatever they call them. My friends folks have a Viper, and they got beat by over half the rice burners. In there class, though, they only got beat once or twice. I'm not trying to get in a debate about which is better by any means. They're both good at what they're made for. I just prefer the raw American muscle.

Oh, and for the record... I hate cars, and have no need, or desire to see how fast I can go around a curve or in a straightaway. I'm a truck guy. My Mazda B4000 (Ford Ranger) is the closest thing to an American vehicle that I've got. My daily driver is an '02 Nissan Frontier 2x4 with a 4-cylinder :D . See, I wsn't trying to start anything, just stating what I prefer, and obviously don't have. ha ha.

So. My Nissan pickup can hold 1-2 extremely attractive women, a full 7 piece drum set, 4x12 Marshall cab, 2x12 combo, 2 guitars, 4 piece PA with stands and powered mixer, a couple of gig bags, and a large cooler with room to spare :D

I drive a Buick. It can carry me my wife and two small children and drive 250 miles on a little over half a tank . Good enough for me.

yep... :) your VW will also get stuck on a speed bump. my 4x4 f-150 with 33" tires had a hard time geting stuck in a 3 foot mud hole.. and if i had a locker, it wouldnt have.

Same here! That's why my Jetta has 264 cams, a chip, and Eibach suspension. And evidently an increasing number of other people like working on their cars too, just
theres your first problem, "camS". I could pull my engine, rebuild it, and have it back in before i had the damn computer unhooked on you VW

look at the number or souped up Hondas and Nissans on the street!
I know, isnt it sad?

Most of those things were done in peoples' garages. The idea that you can't work on a modern car is just plain uninformed.

man, ive worked on these new POS. its so fricking hard to diagnose these things when something messes up. granted, they are long running cars, and you dont have many problems. But when something does go out in them, its expencive, and a pain in the ass.
