I would probably go with Satriani. I hear he's a good teacher and he's so damn laid back over everything.

Word. I'd go with Slash or Satriani myself. Vai would be fun, but I think I'd get more out of Satriani.
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

Ill choose Paul Gilbert to be my teacher coz he can teach me different styles and he is very versatille..........but if he is not available I will choose the great Yngwie "f*****ng" Malmsteen. Im sure I will learn a lot from him like his wicked shred licks, the secret to his dominating stage presence, how to boost your self-esteem :D and I know he is a good drinking buddy. Hehe.

Cheers..... :p

Has to be Vinnie Moore, laid back, no ego and a wicked guitarist. Or Joe Stump, I hear he likes putting away the beers too;-)

I think I'm going to throw John Petrucci into the fray. His video was very well explained, so I'd feel comfortable with asking him for advice.

Hank Williams, III

If you like his grandad, you'll like (at least) his country stuff.

Under links, you'll find a ton of bootlegs that you can download for free.

For songs, I'd start with: Country Heros, Thrown Out of Every Bar, Cecil Brown, Trashville, and Mississippi Mud

John Bigham...he's played with miles davis, fishbone, and has done a few of his own projects and he has a unique guitar style that i think would be interesting to pick up on and he seems like a down to earth guy. either him or larry lalonde or satch.
okay...my post is done...goodbye.

I would want either Clapton or Hammett...

I love Hammett because he has no ego, it's very refreshing.

Probably because he knows he's a fairly mediocre guitarist, unlike Yngwie, who for some reason thinks he's great.
