What's up y'all? I'm in the market for a hand-held gaming system to pass the time when I'm at a laundromat or on a flight. I've been out of the loop for a while as I still own this badboy that I got in 1992.

I'm a huge fan of the golden era of SNES RPGs that came out in the early to mid 90's, and I was looking at Gameboy Advance ahead of the PSP. What d'yall think? I want a system that has alot of level-building, plot-driven RPG titles available to it.

Wow, that is quite a relic you got there. I bought a used GBA from Blockbuster several years ago. That's prolly your best bet for variety of titles. I've also seen several of the old Genesis titles transported to this...Desert Strike was one of my favs. Of course they have alot of the old Nintendo library too, such as the Marios, Castlevania, Zelda, and such.

Yeah, the GBA is the most affordable and has the most titles. I bought one for my wife 'cause she likes pacman. It's quite addictive!
I am a constant evolving music machine. Oh Man, I just forgot what I was playing. Oh well, on to the next song.

I still have one of those old game boys somewhere. I should dig it up sometime.

Aren't there like 3 versions of the GBA? Which one's are better/worse? I see the SP one's are kinda like a laptop, they look cool.

I have been thinking about getting a GBA so I can hook it up to my gamecube, some games have extra stuff/games if you hook em up. I still have my original nintendo with the old classic games like mario bros/duckhunt, rampage, batman, all the other good stuff.

Classics. I love the original ninendo. One of my favorite games was some no-name game called Faxanadu. Every review I've read on it was a bad one. And they were all legit too, the game did kind of suck. With plot and direction anyway, but I've beaten it more times than I can remember. I can even play some of the tunes from it on guitar. That was one thing about that game, it had some of the best music in a video game in that era... well, maybe at least the most unique. I liked the music anyway.

I remember that game. Maybe you can help me remember a few NES games that I can't remember the names too. I remember one where you had this badass warrior guy who could do these huge jumps and he had a sword that kept getting longer (maybe from power ups?) I just remember being really good at it and flying through the trees. I wish I could remember the name...

Also there was this game that was like a board game kinda like chess where you had these gargoyle creatures that would square off against each other and each had their own special powers. Can't remember the name of that one either. Both of these were original 8-bit NES games..

I'm driving myself crazy!

It reminds me of my GameBoy which i traded with a Duncan pick-up 2 years ago. I really love it and I miss playing Super Mario and Pacman now and then. But I cant resist my friends offer for a brand new Seymour , luckily I got the better of the deal and I hope so. hehe. :D

Leedog, I've not a single clue what games you speak of. Maybe if I saw a screenshot or something my memory would be jogged, but some how I doubt you're able to get that without knowing the name of the game and all. I may bust out some classics here soon. I recently got Eternal Darkness so that's been taking up my gaming time.

After much searching I found out the second game I mentioned was Archon:

Now I'm really determined to figure out that first game.

P.S. I love Nesticle! It's like reliving my childhood.

The other game I was thinking of was Demon Sword:
