basiclay means using every note in a scale, moving up in half steps u will have 12 notes --C,C#,D,D#,E,F,F#,G,G#A,A#,B then back to C an octave higher :D
Akira says; "i was expecting some 3476 string string skipping with some 23489172343 octave sweeps and some alt picking runs at 345734237623572bpm in 234872364781246164516th notes across your 2384723648724627348623478264 fret guitar"
The chromatic scale uses every note (12 notes, A, A#/Bb, B, C, C#/Db, D, D#/Eb, E, F, F#/Gb, G, G#/Ab, then it repeats...) on the guitar. So basically you could play it just by ascending 12 half steps (frets) up a string.
its really easy, if you are playing on the low E, its every fret until you get to the 12th fret, and then it starts from the beginning again, just an octave higher.
Example- Open- E 1st Fret- F 2nd Fret- F# 3rd Fret- G
And so on up til you hit the 12th fret. Hope this helps
