The chromatic scale uses every note (12 notes, A, A#/Bb, B, C, C#/Db, D, D#/Eb, E, F, F#/Gb, G, G#/Ab, then it repeats...) on the guitar. So basically you could play it just by ascending 12 half steps (frets) up a string.
