I hope at the end of the day, you and all of yours have made it home safe.

Thanks, I have a cousin over there now. She's ok, thank God, and I second your hope for everyone from or with friends or family in London.

I couldn't agree more. One of my Tae Kwon Do students is from London and still has the majority of his family there. I will see him tonight. Hope to hear that they are all well.

It's a sick and twisted world we live in these days, eh?

I hope you're talking about the same riots and stuff I've been seeing on TV; you sound like a bomb went off in London or something. I'm checking out CNN.com as I write, just to be sure.

That sucks. They were all so happy yesterday too because they got the Olympics in 2012.

I am ok!
but what a day...I just had a three hour walk home(buses have only just resumed, but trains are still out, not sure when they get back on track).

After the whole incident everything was actually very calm...the whole thing was handled incredibly well.Initially the authorities claimed it was a power surge...which was a great idea "ladies and gentlemen, there has been a large power surge at Liverpool street station and as a result, the underground is temporarily out of service...please locate your nearest exit and vacate the station" obviously got a much calmer response than "Holy ****, ****ing Bombs everywhere". so all was very calm and not much panic.

I work as a security guard in Central London, I sit in a glass room, so I could see everything around me...there was total chaos for about 2 hours, but it was confusion sort of chaos, rather than fear or panic.

It was rather weird tho, a bus blew up just a few hundred metres up the road from my work...I didnt hear it or see it, but I saw lots of people running away from it, and many many people crying.

It was a weird day, but luckily no-one I know was hurt...I hope we can say the same for Akira...another Uk resident if I am correct...not sure about a Londoner tho...

geez what a day!

I used to work just round the corner from all this, got off the tube at Russell Sq or Kings Cross every morning during my time at the School of Pharmacy.

I still have lots of friends who do the same. The ones I have spoken to are OK, a little rattled but mostly just angry.

All that is really going through my mind at the moment is that I hope they find the people responsible and stop them from hatching amy more of there cowardly twisted abominable little plans.

It is ironic that the bombers should pick the opening of G8 to highlight there cause !

Idiots !

Wait a minute... so what happened? Bombs? I'm a sheltered hermit here and I don't watch tv and the idea of looking around on the internet is too much for me. What happened now?

Come now. You can't possibly expect me to believe that it's easier for one of us to tell you what happened, than to read a short little news story on Yahoo or elsewhere?

I'd almost lost faith by the end of that post that you were going to actually make me go look elsewhere. Sure it would've been faster, but I suck. What do you expect? Thanks for sparing me. Any who. Sucky news. My condolences to whomever it applies to.

Thanks Raskolnikov.

Yea hope everyone in London who comes here are ok.

I've been sat at work since 19:00 this evening watching the news and net when I can, It's so nice to hear so many nice and decent people on here, coz believe me there not all like that.

I work for a national commercial breakdown company and due to todays events we have seen massive delays in getting to people in London today, but was speaking to one guy who lives and works in london who was demanding that we still got somebody out to his vehicle this evening within the normal 60mins, I kept explaining nicely that large area's of London were still cordoned off and there were diversions in place over larger area's due to the unforseen events.
But the guy insisted that he didn't care he has a contract with us that we have to get to him in such and such a time blah, blah, blah.
Man was it hard to stay nice to this pleb when all I wanted to do was call him an ignorent AR**HOLE

Its a sad day for those poor people hurt or killed in London yesterday :( i can only hope that their familys and friends have the strengh to get through this horrible time.. I have relations in London and thankfully they are ok.. why do innocent people always get hurt or killed for no reason? :(
