How about some 'BIO-CHEMISTRY'!?

My worst subject and limiting matter is math.I remember a teacher trying to explain some form of fractions to me..."don't talk like that" I said."Talk like what" she says."Talking math talk,I can't understand it!" I respond....

Its like trying to teach a dog reading comprehension!

I HATE MATH!

If I was good at it,my career options would open up greatly...

Math comes fairly easy to me (dont mean to brag, hee hee) so I don't hate that. I had bio last year and it wasn't all that bad, but it was a lot more interesting than chem. Ie disecting stuff like skarks, other fish, frog, bird. The teacher was really cool, too. He had like 2 5 year old so he pretty much was in the little kid state of mind around us and made class fun. That didn't stop me from sleeping with my head up. Good times in bio, I put a frog heart in my friend's book and slammed it shut.
"During this line, the kid acted like he was pushing buttons on a calculator in the air. The kid played ******* air-calculator!"

My friend in bio threw frog ovaries at me once. Made sure I took a pregnance test for a few weeks just to make sure. That would have been a crazy mutant baby thing.

I used to love biology and at one point in time was going to go to school to become a biology teacher. I also enjoyed chemisty (though my grades wouldn't show it), but I hated botany. Oh yeah, and zoolagy was pretty cool too, only I had an extremely horrible teacher. Math is almost like second nature to me, because I have to use it every single day at work. Kinda funny... after all that schooling in the sciences to become an environmental scientist, I became a draftsman/sign architect...

One day in Bio we were disecting fetal pigs (mmm mmm good), and a few of my friends and I got bored. After removing the pigs' heads we found if we squeezed the side of their heads hard enough, the mouths would open. So the next forty five minutes were spent chasing one another around the room, making the pigs' mouths open and close and screaming "I AM THE LORD OF THE FLIES!" I think by the end we had everyone but the teacher doing it. She wasn't too pleased, but no detention for us folk.

You see, it's all about the money, and you're gonna need to be able to count your money regardless of the career you take.
Can you count money? :D

that and stale cafeteria food....*gag*

I think if schools adopted higher standards(notice I didn't say academic standards)there would be a much greater success...like more hands on science projects,semi-open clasrooms,a meet and greet assembly 3 times throughout the school year, relaxed enviroments and flexable time schedules(like being able to take half the day off,and complete the curriculum at a later time)

Schools like that obviously arn't a priority...people enjoy schools where the kids are subjected to abuse(physical and verbal/mental)sub standard learning, hostile enviroments,a circular punishment system that encourages mis-behaviour and forced attendance resulting in suicides and legal battles...

if I let my real feelings fly on this subject,I would be banned so I will leave the extent of my hate to your imaginations.

The public school system has never been able to deal with people at the top 20% or the bottom 20% of the IQ scale. Over the last 15 - 20 years, it has now gotten to the point that it cannot deal with any of the students.

If that sounds like an exaggeration, just look at the quality of the writing on BBS's and blogs!
