Fender '65-'67 super reverb

I just wanted to know if anyone has this amp so i can scream in jealous! I ve begun to commit my self to finding and purchasing this amp although it may be difficult! I just found out that i went to a store yesterday and they had sold one a week before :( . I dont care who i have to step over to get this amp. If anyone of u have this amp can you tell me stories about it! Also, how is the reissue? Its expensive as hell but i cant see it being right on to the original, any comment?

:cool: I used to have, many moons ago, the very same and let me tell you, that puppy screamed! Like it was dying.
Of couese I just had to play it on 10, WITH a front end booster, my tried and true noisy echoplex along with my univibe (original).

The tone just slayed you.

Course the poor 10 inch speakers were writhing around, ready to jump out the back and break dance on the floor in pain but hey, that kind of distortion is worth it's weight in gold!

At least back then.

Now Joe Walsh talks about having 2 supers and running the output into the ext. speaker letting the resulting load create the uber super tone. Never tried that myself, Couldn't ever keep 4 speakers in one piece for long enough!

Kinda like my bank account would! :( I still want one so bad...but cant bring myself to purchase anything ebay....
