The tone just slayed you.

Course the poor 10 inch speakers were writhing around, ready to jump out the back and break dance on the floor in pain but hey, that kind of distortion is worth it's weight in gold!

Now Joe Walsh talks about having 2 supers and running the output into the ext. speaker letting the resulting load create the uber super tone. Never tried that myself, Couldn't ever keep 4 speakers in one piece for long enough!
