John Mayer with Axel Rose????

I recently heard an awesome live cover of John Mayer singing Patience. At the end, he plays the solo and the crowd all of a sudden goes nuts. Then Axel Rose (I'm assuming) sings the last verse. I'm almost positive it's Axel cause it sounds just like him. Anyone else hear or see this?

I hope to God that didn't actually happen. Axl Rose has officially become the full-fledged, nobody, sell-out he was destined to be ever since he said those ridiculous words: "You know where you are? You in the jungle, baby! You gonna DIE!"

I can't really say he was "destined" to be a nobody or a sell-out. Maybe, if he actually tried hard to succede and focused on growth, And still failed I would agree.
But he did'nt. He CHOSE to stick a needle in his arm, He CHOSE to not take advantage of the opportunity to clean himself up that his bandmates gave him.He Chose to show up for his shows stoned if he showed up at all.
He may be where he deserves to be but I don't think it's where he is destined to be.

You're getting some GNR dudes mixed up. Axl was never the smack junkie. That was Steven Adler and Slash for the most part. Slash was able to get it together and Steven Adler wasn't so he got the boot. Axl was more of a overly aggressive sexual predator type of messianic leader.
You're absolutely right about him flaking out all the time though. But the reason GNR split up was because of irreconcilable differences between Axl and the rest of the band in terms of a musical direction. Axl wanted to go with more of an industrial electronic direction, and the other dudes wanted to stick to badass rock n roll. Izzy Stradlin' left before all this however, so it's can be argued the end was a long time in the making. Anyone else remember Gilby Clark? :D

I'm sure we can all safely assume it was, in the end, Simon who did the deed, hahaha. Giving people the boot is his greatest joy in internet life. Mine is avoiding papers...which I'm doing now...at 2 am...I should probably start writing...

Who little me !!!
Naa I don't have (and neither do the other mods) the ability to make unilateral banning decisions, it was a group effort.
He was giver a month ban and was told that anymore offenses would result in a permanent ban, no more warnings etc which he totally ignored. What can I say, the hammer came down... repeatedly !
Jolly as long as the words "Cupid Stunt" don't appear at the top of the paper in red ink when you get it back, well why not !!

Too bad for axle.
But hey, you cannot expect a website to have a lot of gentlemen, now, can you, Doc?
Back to the topic:
I don't know what the beef with Axle, The Axle, is, but I didn't think working with John Mayer would qualify one as a sellout. I like quite a bit of his (JM) stuff, plus I gather he used to play in all these jazz places, so I figured he'd kinda paid his "real artist"( and I'm not being sarcastic) dues.
