Probably drove right past my town in about......2 seconds.

I'm about 20 minutes from The Lou.

What was in Chicago for ya?

oh man......only 10?

umm......in no order, off the top of my head:

nofx - the decline

pink floyd - wish you were here(the whole album is one track so it counts!)

led zeppelin - no quarter

johnny cash - hurt (i know it's a cover but show me one person who didn't at least get hazy eyed and i'll show you someone with no heart or soul)

green day - jesus of suburbia

nirvana - lounge act

alice in chains - over now

the clash - tommy gun

queen - crazy little thing called love

the beatles - a day in the life
okay...my post is done...goodbye.

A good friend of mine lives there, so it was a chance to hang out with her for a day or so and a handy resting point on my way back to Vermont.

Unlike my move to Louisiana, I decided that driving 32 hours straight wasn't the best way to go about things.

Yeah, 32 hours straight through is never a good idea.

Chicago is an ok place, I didn't visit directly inside Chicago but was a few minutes out. Nothing special, plus no Jack-in-the-Box. I can't live without JintheB. So you're living in Vermont these days? How's Vermont?

A "Flat Lander" is anybody who comes from "down country."

"Down country" = anyplace South of Rutland, VT.

I see....

Did you get a lot of snow recently? I saw that New Jersey got about 20" or so.

Nah, we got just enough to be a pain in the ass.

Enough so that you have to go clean it up, not enough that you feel like you've accomplished something.

We haven't got a big enough snow here in the midwest. Just like 1-3" dropplings here and there.

I want a giant snow storm. 12" plus.
