So I was wondering if it was even worth looking for?

I was looking around on the internet for this fuzz pedal, and I was wondering if any of you folks have actually tried it out. I think it could be cool, but obviously I would never buy it if it sounded awful.
So I was wondering if it was even worth looking for?

Yep, and to top it off they are made by a company named Way Huge, as far as sound goes, I think they are supposed to be a very 60's sounding, old fashioned fuzz tone........................

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. If a box works for some players, it doesn't mean that it is going to work for you, and vica versa. In this particular case, the names do not sound familiar. Most ads are written only to sell the products. So, be careful, find out the return policies, and charge your purchase to your credit card -- if there is a dispute, your credit card company will back you up.
But the best way to make a decision is to go to your local music store, bring your guitar (effects will sound different with different gear!), and try all the boxes they have.
Then start negotiating. In most cases the store will match the price to Musician's Friend or other online retailers.
If they don't -- buy online.

Fuzz is the first distortions, mainly used in the '60's. When the sound breaks up it creates a treble vibration. Sounds "fuzzy". Jimi hendrix uses fuzz or early eric clapton uses fuzz boxes.
Distortion is way sharper. It maintains its roughness and is clearier or more sharp and distinctive. Has a tighter sound. Use extensivly in the grunge days of Nirvana, Soundgarden. Usually its heavier then fuzz.
Thats not technical talk or anything.

If you think of the clean sound as satin:
Fuzz is like velvet.
Distortion is like burlap.
That's technical talk. :D
