Christmas Songs - A New Playlist to Learn!

christmas songs list

Christmas songs are fun classics like “Silent Night,” “Jingle Bells,” and others. Make sure to brush up on these numbers in time for the holidays! Thankfully, a lot of these songs are fairly simple to play and you can learn all of them right here on Guitartricks!

Deck the Halls and Jingle Bells

Lisa McCormick has two awesome lessons-in-one with the Deck the Halls and Jingle Bells tutorial. In this lesson, Lisa will show you not only how to play the chords, but you’ll also be able to play along with the lyrics and tabs for both songs! This is a great song, perfect for singing with others and playing with your friends and family as well.

If you’re new to guitar, or want to play with another guitarist, there’s also a single-note version in this lesson so that you can accompany someone or play something simpler. Learn Deck the Halls and Jingle Bells here.

Frosty the Snowman

Another cold-time classic, Frosty the Snowman requires only a single guitar and you’ll learn with Caren as she takes you through the entire song. As always, you’ll get to know Frosty the Snowman lyrics and chords, plus there are accompanying tabs! There’s a great boom-chick technique to be played during strumming in this lesson if you want to take a crack at a more complex method. Another fun element of the song is the walk-up bass run that is played between strums and it adds so much character to the song, you really have to nail that to truly perform the song as it is meant to be played. Learn Frosty the Snowman here.

Jingle Bell Blues

In this guitar lesson, Christopher will show you how to play an up-tempo, swinging version of Jingle Bells! This is a special rendition of the classic Jingle Bells song that can be played with one or two guitars. There are great bluesy licks, which are great for guitar solos and a rhythm guitar as well!

One of the more fun parts of this lesson is the super fast, blistering solo! Of course, you can completely avoid the solo if you want, you can simply play the rhythm section. This lesson is not for the beginner guitarist, but you should definitely check it out if you want to impress your friends in the coming months! Learn how to play Jingle Bell Blues here.
