Description
In this tutorial we're going to explore some serious country chicken picking by breaking down a fun practice tune that I've written specifically to include some of my favorite tricks and sounds from this style of playing. Some of this can seem complicated at first, but if you take the time to learn and play it the right way, then you'll eventually feel how easy and comfortable it can be to use hybrid picking like this. And of course it sounds great!
I'll be using my Gretsch Duo Jet for this practice tune, and I'll be running it through a Fender amp with a bright clean tone and a little bit of reverb. But you can of course learn and play this practice tune on any guitar. Let's get started!
