Description
Now we’re going to add one more level of complexity and begin to alternate the bass notes. This isn’t something that we’ll always do while thumbpicking, but it is common. It’s a slightly different, more complex sound than just alternating between two notes.
This mimics the sound we hear in genres of music like country or bluegrass where the bass player typically bounces between the 1 and the 5 instead of just hanging out on the 1.
