Description
One of the most important things to learn about using inversions as different chord voicings is that you change musical direction; pitch-wise up or down. In this example let's start with a chord progression using three chords: C major, F major, G major. By using different voicings we can make the chords go up in pitch or down in pitch. This can provide variety in a guitar part to compliment a vocal melody or suggest a melody on its own.
