Description
I always say that as you continue learning guitar you'll end up back at the same topics and techniques over and over again, but each time at a higher and higher level. That's what I call spiral learning, and this concept makes a lot of sense because so much of the guitar playing we all end up admiring really is quite simple in it's make-up. It's the same 12 notes, 6 strings and two hands for most of us, but there's a world of difference between how you strum an E-chord when you're first starting out and how you strum an E-chord when your guitar journey has lead you to stand in front of twenty thousand people at a festival.
It may look the same on paper, but we all know that it's different in real life and that's the magic of it all. And that's also why you should never be afraid of digging into a topic that sounds basic. Because everything you do on guitar has infinite layers of depth, and there's always another level you can take it to. So with that in mind it's time to take your open chords and hammer-on embellishments to the next level.
