Description
Another classic type of acoustic guitar is called an archtop and it's this jazzy looking instrument often with F-holes. You can play this like any other acoustic guitar, but you'll notice that it has a lot less of the lower frequencies and a lot less of the pretty treble.
So the main features of this guitar is the F-holes of course and the arched top, meaning it's not flat like many of the other acoustic guitars. So this is called an Archtop, and the Dreadnought for example is called a flat top.
So there are of course many ways to play a guitar like this, but I'll show you one of the most classic ways, which is the clawhammer strumming you learned earlier on.
Since this example is a bit more elaborate, let's practice it slowly with the metronome first. Next let's check out this example, all by itself so you can hear the details of the sound of this guitar.
