Description
Guitar 2 performs the solo and continues the Spanish theme. It's in E minor, which includes the notes E, F#, G, A, B, C, and D. The solo occasionally hints at E harmonic minor, which has the same notes, but raise the "D" to "D#", when played over the B augmented 7 chord. It begins with a short variation of the Intro free time section then launches into fast sixteenth note and triplet lines, classical style vibrato, octave chords, and lot's of syncopation peppered throughout. Guitar 2 is played finger style and uses rest stroke technique with the index and middle fingers except for the octave passage, which employs the thumb and middle fingers to pluck the two strings together. Guitar 1 provides support under the solo by playing Rhythm Figure 1 two times.
