Description
In this tutorial we're going to take your understanding of rock harmony to the next level by introducing an extremely useful concept that you can use in both your rhythm playing, your riff playing, and in your writing.
When a song hangs on one chord for a long time, you'll learn a handful of great sounding alternative chords you can throw in with the basic chord to change up the sound just enough to add some cool variation. It's still going to sound like that same basic harmony, but with some cool twists to it.
Some of these variations or "substitutions" as they're often called, have already used throughout the course, but given that you now know a little bit of theory, you'll see those things in a whole new light.
