Description
To achieve a bright, twangy lead sound, I'm using a Gretsch on the bridge pickup and running through a model of a small Fender combo with tremolo, echo, and reverb.
Duane would usually play on a neck pickup but he had single coil pickups and I feel that I can get more in the ballpark with the bridge pickup. On a side note: It is rumored that Duane and producer Lee Hazelwood placed the guitar speaker in a 2000 gallon water tank in order to create an echo chamber.
For a jangly rhythm sound, I'll use my Blue Ridge acoustic.
