For the chorus of our practice tune we'll use one of the most common trademarks of this period, which is the somewhat dissonant sound of what I like to call "power 9 chords". These voicings were actually introduced much earlier by the band The Police, but in the 2000s they became extremely popular. I'm sure you'll recognize the sound!
