Description
There's an acoustic guitar strumming throughout the entire tune. Choosing an acoustic with a bright, shimmery tone will help to cut through the rhythm section if you're playing with a band.
The electric guitar has single-coil pickups such as a Tele or Strat, to get that spanky country tone. The single coils give that bright, punchy tone when played through a clean tube amp.
As far as amps go, any Fender tube amp is a great choice here. You can crank up the pre-amp gain to get some good sustain, but not too much that it distorts your tone. You want to your tone to stay "country clean". Adding a compression pedal will also help improve the sustain while still keeping a clean tone. Add a touch of reverb to give some depth and separation in the mix.
For the lead tone (guitar 3), you'll want to kick in an overdrive pedal such as a Tube Screamer to get a fatter sound and more sustain.
