Description

In the verse, those two rhythm guitars are going to spread out and play complimentary parts. They both have a lot of space in them, leaving room for the other guitar (or keyboards & horns) to do its thing. Try to keep it sparse. Take into account the other instrumentation.

The first guitar is playing an E7#9, the "Hendrix" chord.

The second rhythm guitar is playing a repeated E pentatonic pattern, with some syncopation. Bend that G just a quarter step for funkiness. Practice doing that on other notes, too.
