The Major Scale

Description

There are several ways to approach the major scale across all 6 strings. You can experiment with this idea in an almost infinite number of ways, but most commonly we start from the Low E and A strings and move in 2 and 3 note groupings. The first approach we will take is looking at the key of C major, playing the scale twice across all 6 strings ascending and descending from the Low E string from the same position. We are essentially playing the same scale from the same root, only working from a wider range on the neck of the guitar.

The notes in the key of C are:
C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C

Applying this idea across 6 strings, let's try this concept in the style of Trey Anastasio (Phish) in the key of C.
