Description

This tune features a sweet clean sound as well as massive overdriven crunch tones. I’m playing a SuperStrat style guitar set for the bridge pickup to give a bright, clear tone for all the parts in this song. That said, this song can still be played with any electric guitar.

A Marshall JCM 800 tube amp is the best choice to replicate the tones in this tune. Dial in a crunch setting - set the Preamp Gain to 75%, Bass to 50%, Mids to 55%, Treble to 55%, and Presence to 60%. To get a clean tone, roll down the volume on your guitar. Alternatively, if you have a channel switching amp, set channel 1 for a clean sound, and channel 2 for a crunch sound, and switch between them.

For the lead guitar (Guitar 3) I’m kicking in a Tube Screamer to get more gain and sustain for the leads.

Add plenty reverb to all guitars to give plenty of space. Since we’re in standard tuning,
I’m using 10-46 string gage. I’m also using a heavy pick to dig into these riffs and leads.
