Before we start digging into all the playing, let's briefly talk about the gear and tones I'll be using for these examples. I'll be using my Telecaster on the bridge pickup for this practice tune, but I'll be running it through a Marshall amp now, which is going to give me a lot more of a rockin' sound.
The Marshall is turned up quite loud, so I get a solid overdrive from the amp. If you don't wanna risk blowing the roof of your place, you can just use an overdrive pedal instead. But try and match my tone as much as you can! Other than that I'm using a subtle delay at 1 and a half repeats, but very quiet. Just to make it all sound a little more “epicâ€.
