We roll into the verse with our Travis pick rolling along, and learn a couple more tricks:

D F#m G G G/F# Em A7

We'll make further use of the hammer on beat 3 of D. We also add a high pinch on beat 2 of F#m. There's a bass walk from G - G/F#.

Also note the divided bar: Em - A7.
