We'll learn the rest of the chords that we need to play the song:
C, D, Em, A7, D7
And then the first half of the verse structure:
G Em C D
G Em Am D7
We'll consider chord connections, one of the keys to being into a solid player. Then we can take a look at what I call "the basic strum", consider the concept of directionality in strumming, and work on getting a good hand position. I've included a lesson on "zoning" at the end of this tutorial, which will help you learn to create color and pacing, even in a simple song like this one.
