Description

One of the main elements in the punk rock movement is the DIY attitude. For that reason it doesn't make sense to say that you need any specific type of gear for it, as long as your amp doesn't sound too "pretty" or "perfect" and it can play loud. Then extend your strap so the guitar hangs all the way down by your knees and you're good to go!

I'm of course partially kidding about that, but it does make you play differently and help you get closer to the actual playing style and sound. Then you can always raise it up afterwards and use the new sounds you found with your regular setup. I'll be using my Telecaster and I'll be running it through a cranked up and distorted Marshall amp with no reverb or anything; just bone-dry and hard-hitting.
