Guitar 2 comps the chord progression throughout the verses. It starts out with some descending single notes that go down the D major scale and take us to the first chord of the tune, which is a D barre chord at the 5th fret. There are several extended chords in this fast moving progression, and you'll find it fun to play once you get the chords under your fingers.

It's important to get the correct strumming feel for this song, which has a jazzy laid back swing feel. Your downstrokes occur right on the beat, but the swing is in your upstrokes, which occur a bit later than your "ands" would be for a straight eighths feel.

Note that the second verse is a shorter version of the first verse. It is the exact chord progression from the second half of the first verse.
