First we're going to learn how to play the intro to our song. This section features our signature finger picking guitar licks, along with some electric leads. Here are some key points to help you through it:

1. The intro is 16 bars long, using a I-IV-V chord progression in G.

2. Each chord is fingerpicked emphasizing each down beat with chord tones of each. For the G, it's the low G and open G string. For C, it's C and E. And for D, it's D and A. In between each down beat you will finger pick the upper parts of the chords using a variety of eighth note rhythms.

3. In the intro, you will play a variation on the C and D chords. For the C, you will walk into it starting on an open A string to B, and landing on the downbeat to play C. For the D chord, you will do a hammer on the high E string also playing the high E string placing the 2nd in the melody both times the D is played.

4. Each time you start the progression over, moving from G to G, you will play the low E string on the downbeat of 4 signaling the turnaround.

5. Guitar #2 comes in halfway through, playing a series of volume swells, fifths, sixths, chord tone melodies, and ends with a descending melody from C to G keeping a high G ringing throughout.
