Description
Guitar 1 is an acoustic guitar with a capo placed at the 4th fret. This allows you to play in the key (F#) by using chords based around an open D shape. Choosing an acoustic guitar with a bright shimmery tone will cut through the rhythm section better.
For Guitar 2, any electric guitar will work great here. This is a very straight forward clean and semi-overdriven tone, and there's nothing distinct required from the choice of guitar.
As far as amps go, any vintage style tube amp such as a Vox AC 30 is a great choice. Set the amp for slight overdrive when you dig into the notes and chords, but still stays clean for light picking. Check out the settings I used:
VOX AC30 Model: Drive: 45% Bass: 45% Mid: 55% Treble: 65% Presence: 60%
