Description

The verse sections feature some strumming with funk voiced chords. The part is based off of a 1st inversion A chord shape up at the 9th position.

We're using the the highest four strings to play the chords in this tune, which is a common way to voice chords when playing funk. We are also focused on locking into the groove with the bass and drums, so keeping your strumming accurate and in time is very important.

Check out that semi-tone move every four bars of the riff, another funk hallmark. Note the change in chord progression halfway through each verse, going to the G chord instead of the F# minor.
