"Jump, Jive an' Wail" is recognized by its signature horn line. The guitar part played underneath the horn line in the introduction is a quarter note walking bass line in Bb that has a swing feel. This is the main part used during the verses and choruses. Once you have this down, you'll know 80% of the song!

This song is based on a 12 bar blues form in Bb. The guitar part follows this progression, playing single notes on the lower strings and you'll use hybrid picking to play the chords on the upbeats in the higher register.
