We are still using the four string root position chord shape in four different places to achieve four different chords that will form a basic, common chord progression.
This time we will only sweep each chord once per measure. We will play the sweep up pitchwise (across the strings from low strings to high), then play some scale notes after the sweep. We will play notes from the C major scale that target each individual chord as it happens in the progression.
This will give us even more practice at placing the sweep in different places rhythmically within a measure of music. And it gives us practice at incorporating sweeping with scale note playing. Again, we get that really nifty sound, similiar to a late 50s, early 60s type of pop music, "Doo Wop" rhythm.
I find it quite easy (so far!) to navigate, and found the "where do I start" to be very helpful! I'm getting there!!
I LOVE the forum, too. I've never been one to use forums, but the GT forum is full of great people and helpful information at ALL levels! Congrats on a WONDERFUL site!!Good job!
