In this tutorial we will learn an advanced chord melody arrangement of the jazz standard "St. Louis Blues" by W. C. Handy.

"St. Louis Blues" by W. C. Handy is quintessential blues. It's one, if not the, earliest known published blues songs by the man called the Father of the Blues. This song was originally composed in 1914 by Handy and has been recorded countless times by many artists making it a true American blues or early jazz timeless classic. The song has 2 sections, a minor key section and a major key section. It was originally in G minor & G major. In this tutorial we'll arrange it to play in E minor & major. It's in 4/4 time with an implied triplet 1/8th note swing rhythm. We'll aim for about 100 BPM.
