The Best Strings and How to String your guitar

I should mention that I've never had to string a guitar yet. I currently own an Ibanez Artcore semi hollowbody electric, and a Schecter Diamond C-1+ electric. I have a couple of questions:

1) What's the best brand of strings for electric guitars and other types of guitars?

2) How do you string a guitar? Is this something that is pretty easy to do? or does someone need to show you how to do it? If you know of any how to video links that show you how to string or any good diagrams showing pic by pic if that helps, please let me know. Maybe this post should be really called "anything you want to know about guitar strings". Thanks

as for the best strings.....it's all personal preference. personally I like D'Addario, Elixir, and Ernie Ball in 10-52ga. It's just something you'll have to try out yourself to figure out what you like best.
