What's the lightest decent quality guitar you can think of that doesn't cost too much (like parkers)? My back has been seriously messed up for a while and while I know it isn't using a fairly heavy guitar that's causing it it's certainly not helping any.

I may be a bit retro in my approach, but I don't buy a "bleeding edge design" anything until it's had a few years to prove itself. I have 9 guitars at the moment, and other than one Odyssey, they're all either Yamaha, or Washburn.

My Yamahas are fairly heavy axes based on Les Pauls.

The Washburns are all quite light and "tossable". There are models to cover just about any style of playing, so I'm sure you could find something to suit your tastes.

I agree with that. Some of the Ibanez's are extremely light. Some of them though are weirdly offbalance. It felt as if the headstock was really heavy and the body was really light (no it wasn't a hollowbody).

a telecaster slimline they are like holding nothing! theyre hollow body so slight (very slight in my expereince) change in sound but look gorgeous it has a diferent shaped pickguard to other teles and has a sound hole an it really does look very nice. if you can find a mexican one it should be relativly cheap, not cheap as chips, but quite a cheap price for such a good lookin guitar that plays an sounds good. also they are quite unique not seen anyone else play one hmmm could be a problem tryin to find one then.
