Double Neck Guitar

Anyone know of a double neck guitar with a fixed bridge (for open tunings) on top one and a trem on the bottom one? I had the idea last night after worrying that I couldn't play slide and lead on the same song on stage. And where can I find the Ry Cooder or Brian Jones page?

Gibson used to make a double SG with a 12-string on top and a 6-string on the bottom. They had the usual SG weakness in the area between the neck and the pickup, but aside from getting something custom made by your friendly neigborhood luthier, I dunno.

Now epiphone makes that model called the G-1275, but as far as having trems on it for the bottom and ond stop tail on the top is unheard of, or at least unheard of to me. I wonder how the angus young signature sg guitar has a trem on it?

Am I right in thinking that Fender custom-make guitars? My idea was to have sort of a Telecaster on the top and a Stratocaster on the bottom. Could that be done?

I'm sure it could be done if someone wanted to do, but that'd cost a grizzip, it'd look awful weird, but weird guitars are cool. But i'd bet fender custom shop would charge you over 2 maybe 3 g's to make it(maybe more). That's a rad idea though, i'd bet they'd sell a ton of em if they were on the market. I'm running that idea by the fender C.E.O ;)
