A buddy of mine picked up a cheap guitar recently and had buzzing problems because the bridge was too low. We raised it and voila. Not sure if this is applicable. Try changing the strings, it's like rebooting a comp in my opinion.

Change the strings. 3 months is a long time to have strings on a guitar.

You'll notice a great tonal difference and it will probably even feel better to play.
Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.

May be heavier gauge is what caused that problem ... Try raising the bridge , or adjusting the truss rod.
Lighter gauge strings may solve the problem too (I hate that solution).

Three suggestions:

1) raise the action of your guitar. If you have a floydd rose that means you will have to use your alan key to raise the trem and will raise the height of other strings slightly anyway. This might require a change of the intonation which is a bitch of a job on a floydd rose 'cause when you change the intonation on one string it changes what makes sense for the others!.

2) Are you sure that you have stretched your E string enough. My low E always buzzes until it's been stretched properly and is nice and tight.

3) The nut of your guitar might be damaged. Inspect to see that the E string nestles comfortably in its recess and that it has plenty of clearance.

Sorry, just re-read your email. Sounds like you might need your frets replacing or polishing to me. Alternatively your neck is warped and you need a truss rod adjustment. Both jobs for experts.

I have a similar problem and it drives me mad too. However it is not at the frets, but somewhere around the bridge or the head and I cannot figure out where exactly does it come from. Have you had a problem lik this, and if you did how you dealt with it?

As I've said in many threads similar to this one... nobody on this forum can tell you with 100% certainty what's wrong with your guitar. Your best bet is to have a professional tech look at it.

My stings used to buzz but I just changed my stings. My problem was that my one string was ripped a little from the bridge. (yes i know, very this is a very rare situation.)

I realize that no one can 100% identify my problem but having your strings buzz seems to be one of those many common problems so i figured someone might have ran into the same common problem

This is why a good guitar tech is able to make a living. And when you find a good one, you should make sure to be on good terms.

A good setup is as personal as a well broken-in pair of shoes. Spend some time describing the problem. Demonstrate how you discovered this buzz. Your tech will need to know as much about your axe, and how you play it, as possible.
