Dissing Other Bands
I may not enjoy some of the music thats out there, but im dissapointed to see the time you guys spend raggin on other bands. These so called "worst bands" must have done something right considering the fact there making their millions, and nothings worse than a few amateurs critisizing someones work saying they could do better.

Im glad someone wrote this.
I mean Busted have so much talent. Their ability not to play instruments and highly studio polish their voices to make them sound good is truely remarkable.
I would list some other greats but manafactered bands make me rant more.

It isn't by chance that these bands are succesful. The music isn't orginal today, its all about science.The music is constructed to make people react to certain types of music. Sony made a formula for the music which they knew how people would react to it. It has been sold to other major record companies. So your wrong to also say that

nope.
just tryin to get you guys straightened out. Hate to say this. With that forum discussion, you sound like those punk-guitarists you see in school who critisize everyones music but worship their own. Have to just stay open to all kinds of music and not limit yourself.

That's where people get their opinions. They listen to all/most styles of music and decide which one is best for them.
You calling PonyOne's post "out of ignorance" is the pot calling the kettle black.
Nsync has sold millions upon millions of records, along with the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and so on and so on....is this good music? Hell no. This is reformulated garbage.
To say, "They sell millions of records, they're good." That's "out of ignorance". Any major record label with enough money can make anyone sound good and market them to the right crowd to sell their millions of records. That doesn't define good music.

music is not the collaboration of a bunch of guys with suits and little slut with a tight ass (but at least that can be nice to look at)
the point is bands can suck and they were either in the right place at the right time and got a record contract because someone sees dollar signs flashing above their completely talentless heads or because they're pleasent to look at and they know millions of retarded teenagers will run out and buy the album for one song that they see on MTV

The only reason we dis them... is cuz we don't like them. Pretty easy. Its not our fault that we are all musically gifted and know a thing or two about writing.... while some people don't know anything..... (or maybe we don't? gasp!)
There are only two important things in life - There's music and theres girls, not necessarily in that order....

I dont like alot of the newer bands out there today like blink 182, sum 41, good charlette, simple plan, any rapper,RA,Something corporate, etc etc etc. To me they dont have the musically skilled talent that catches my ear, but i mean whatever, alot of people dont like or even know of the bands i like. I always metioned how i think the schooled musicians dont get enough air play. When i was younger like in grade school, i always made fun of other peoples bands. lol im a little older now, and i could care less. I just think most people like these bands because carson daily says it will make them cool.

They also have something called subliminal marketing. Have you ever looked closely at video clips from Sony Artists? Have you ever noticed that the products they use are Sony products? Mandy Moore's DiscMan and Macy Gray's video camera, Sony products.
But the most obvious one was a few years ago with Bomfunk MC's Freestyler. He had the 'new to the market' (it was new then) MP3 Player, which he used to control people and guess what brand was slapped on the side. Also in the video, his 'arch nemisis', the asian guy he couldn't control with his MP3 player was carrying the very distinctive Sony Playstation Controller. I wonder how the sales of that Sony MP3 player went after that video was released?

That's different for a couple reason. 1. he wrote practically every song of that era anyway, and 2. Jimi isn't a shltty musician.

Its the people who ardently support one band or just one genre, and claim to hate every other song around. I dont like pop music.. but every now and then a pop song will come along that Ill think hey thats quite cool and catchy. A lot of people are too snobby musically to admit that.

Does it matter that its not "good"? Its pop music, its contemporay, low lastibility but catchy to those who like it. Ive bought 100s of rock and metal CDs and only listen to about 20! My girlfriend has 100s of pop CDs and listens to em all!
Live n Let Live Man! Sometimes in life even though your right, theres no way you can change peoples ways, or force them to listen! Example... seeing two pals buy seperately in McDonalds... one buys a cheese burger and coke, the other a cheese burger and fries. They pay seperately and it costs 4 quid. If they had only bought it all at once, known as the 2 cheese burger meal they would saved a quid! I tell people this but they dont listen! But wheres the harm in it :)
