How do you become a moderator and what are the good things about being one?
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

Why you want to get our new special friend "homo" on the chopping block? ;) lol. To be a moderator, you have to be a member for at least six months. You must have a good record on not getting into forum fights. You have to be just, and you have to ask Jon. The coolest thing is you get access to the Host section of the forum, and you get to edit peoples posts, as eggman did.

haha...Jon's the webmaster here. He usually posts if there is a mod spot open, but you can email him if your interested. There are quite a few old mods who have not been around in a long time, you might be able to get one of there old slots.

What about the recording section ... that hasnt got a moderator yet. Me and Axl_Rose could be the moderators for it. I have noticed a fair few moderators who dont seem to have posted for a long time as well.

Yeah, i guess thats what gave me the idea of being a moderator after trying to delete his posts and realizing you needed to be a moderator.

Me Schmange and Azrael look after the recording section and the reason we don't show up in the box is because we are supermods.

However if you would like a go at moderating why not email Jon
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

It is a difficult and unrewarding job. The worst is the constant e-mail badgering by members you've upset.... "I HATE YOU, YOU MADE MY LIFE MISERABLE"....

The impossibly high expectations of Jon and the members... The constant infighting that goes on in the Host Forum... The abuse from Jolly that never seems to end...

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

Actually, it isn't that bad. Pay sucks, though.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

ALL generalizations are WRONG

now eggman, that's it! i'm running for moderator
"Lets see… well I play the guitar and when I'm not playing the guitar, I think about playing the guitar. My other favorite instrument, is the guitar and if I aspired to play any other instrument, it would be the guitar...

I can’t sing so I sing through my guitar. So when the sound guy says: “Your guitar is too loud!” I think: "Why does he never say that to the vocalist?"
