Noise Suppressor
OK. i have a Rocktron Intellifex LTD thing. So, do i put a noise suppressor before it or after it? and whats a good noise suppressor to buy? THANKS.

Why don't you ust try both, its not going to hurt anything if its in the "wrong" place.

Just make sure you don't put it behind any time based effects...
I'd be really surprised if that Rocktron didn't already have a built in noise gate though.

thats where I'm confused the Rocktron Intellifex makes alot of noise so i want to get rid of it but people say dont put a noise suppressor behind time based effects. the intellifex has time besed effects in it. so what do i do

I got this straight from their website, about the Intelliflex...
"Produce up to four of the greatest quality effects simultaneously, and use Rocktron’s onboard HUSH noise reduction before the effects to silence any noise from your amp or preamp without disrupting the decay of reverb and delay effects."
You shouldn't need a external unit to take care of the noise.

Then I have no idea how to fix it, sounds to me like there might be a problem in your signal chain somewhere.

Check your electrical setup. Do you use a proper 3-wire system with a good ground?

Yeah, sounds like the buzzing's coming from somewhere else, and the Rocktron's amplifying it. Do you have buzzing when you go straight to your amp?
