he's the guitar player for guns n roses
"Lets seeā¦ well I play the guitar and when I'm not playing the guitar, I think about playing the guitar. My other favorite instrument, is the guitar and if I aspired to play any other instrument, it would be the guitar...
I canāt sing so I sing through my guitar. So when the sound guy says: āYour guitar is too loud!ā I think: "Why does he never say that to the vocalist?"

I was totally blown away by the battery solo that kirk hammett did it was amazing u guys underestimate kirk hes has more talent then hendrix Vai and all them players al lu guys hear is just the studio albums coz lars is a tight ares he doesn't want kirk to play long and difficult solo when comes down to it all shred players just play scales and modes so there all as good as each other but kirk hammett sticks out the most coz he just amazing and he is my idol

Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.

Anybody feel like writing an explaination long enough as to why we're laughing? I think Reece doesn't quite get the joke.

DUDE!! REECE!! All Kirk does is shred man! Try hearing a solo without him shreading. He just plays like 3 or 4 notes and has an extemely light pick. On the other hand . . . Jimi and the gang do all this mess with their guitar that blows people away!! Kirk is ok but all the does is play regular scales with with loads of distortion. He is a nice guitarist but he needs to play somtin else. Plus . . . please note that Jimi played with a right handed guitar when he was left handed. That mean most everything he played he made up by himself and was self taught. O well . . . you should not compare guitarists. They all play with their own style.

Kirk Hammett is an awesome guitarist!!! Although not better than legends like Hendrix or Steve Vai, he's still a great player and can hold his on.

Umm, didn't Satriani influence and teach Kirk how to play? So, if we are going to say that Hammet is awesome, then shouldn't we give credit where it's due. I just recently realized that Kirk wasn't the prodigal son of the guitar.
Let's give a big hand to Mr. Romeo, Mr. Malmsteen, and Mr. Petrucci!!
Jeez, I can't believe none of you have said anything about Cobain yet. Wasn't he an awesome guitarist......

Dude - a bit of advise:
1. Learn correct english
2. Use punctuation marks every now and then
3. Try to make sense
4. First think - then post
Keeping these in mind will help you not to sound like a completely illiterate kindergarten-dropout.
