Can you give me some good metal or rock solos(except Metallica) that are not that hard, and that really kick ass. I would knew some Malmsteen solos but they´re all too hard for me. It´s just because I need influences from other guitar players than metallica, because otherwise I will sound like a Hammett want to be.

Hammets solo's are not good. Just have a look on guitar trick, i'm sure you will find lots of good solo's.
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

You might look into some stuff from Vinnie Moore's first albums. All of it is easy to play and the theory behind it is pretty straightforward. In particular I recommend the tracks "Morning Star" and "NNY".

You might also look at Tony Macalpine's first couple of albums (Edge Of Insanity and Maximum Security I think its called), a little more difficult than Vinnie Moore but still fairly straightforward in the theory.

thanks for your advices, I´ll check them out!

To Death55: About Hammett I agree with you to some degree. I know there many guitarists who are better in soloing, and I also know that his technique is not that good(well, still better than mine, but if a Guitar player with 10 months[which would be me]with average practicing time of 3 hours is close to play a solo what Hammet calls"his hardest solo to perform live" (blackened)this is certainly not a good sign for him.

But: I´d like to see all of you Hammett "enemies", which I´ve seen in many other forums, like to see writing a solo like blackened, struggle within, wherever I may roam, sandman,... because then you would have kicked hundred of thousands people´s ass with your solos.
What i wanna say is that Hammett of course shouldn´t get an award for best Guitar Player of the Year, but still: if so many fans love many of his solos and could listen to them over and over again, he can´t just be bad!

I suppose kirk has done some quite good solos. But i do know a lot of people on the forum and other forums that can write solo's that are just as good and better. Check out http://www.guitarwar.com some of the people on there are just as good !

Tune your guitar down to d ( not drop d ... but d ) and play some pantera solo's those are usually pretty easy specifically " im broken" and "Walk". Those are pretty easy ( to some extent).

Also try some of iron maiden solo's they are usually 2 string pull off's 17-15-12-17-15-12 and then on the other string you do the same thing.

Thats what i like to call "Cheap Shred" ( i basically do this just to impress my freinds who kno nothing about guitar lol).

I know Marcus, and he's not like that anymore. Very humble guy, and probably the technically best guitarist I've ever heard. Great guy, and a great musician. And fast as ****.

Not extremely hard, but it has an AMAZING melody, killer phrasing, and some nice harmony/counterpoint ideas. One of my favorite solos ever.

Listen to this man. He has excellant taste.

Also... try playing the solo in Man in A Box ( AIC ). You need to get the sound just rite but its a real cool solo ... and it sets the tone just rite.

Hey thanks for this one. This has become my favourite solo, I just can´t get enough of it. Now I think I´m going to learn it. I just made a short view over the solo and it´s really not extremely hard, and 24 frets are really helpful at some parts. But the amazing melody at the end is played with 2 guitars so I don´t know if it works with one too.

Any Randy Rhoads - especially mr. crowley or revelation.
They aren't that hard if you can get the hang of it.
