Aside from cut his hair and cut down on the wine :P

I think he needs a producer, and to record in an actual studio (as nice as his home studio is). I finally found my copy of War To End All Wars again, and as anyone who's heard it knows, it sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom, in 1975. But what I discovered is that once you actually get past the bad recording, some of the songs on it are very good (some of my new favorite Yngwie songs in fact, even a couple great instrumentals on the album). But even then, after a few minutes of listening, I just go back to something else because it sounds so bad.

I haven't heard something sound this bad since some of those old Shrapnel releases back in the 80s.

Now, I wouldn't presume to tell Yngwie what to do, but I do think from a listeners perspective (and someone who wants to learn the songs) that its kind of annoying.

Anyone else feel the same way, or am I just being a complete asshole?

I personally think all he needs is a new singer. :)

My only experience with recording was done with nothing more than a tape recorder on a ping pong table, so I'm not going to critique his technique there.

Nah, that's a bit much.

On the other hand, Paul Gilbert and John Petrucci should do that.

I think Yngie should play on a guitar which produces electricity...thus there will be some use of his playing

I think you just solved the California energy crisis. :)

I bet Arnold wouldn't have thought of that.

hehe, for real. Arnold should get on an exercise bike hooked up to a huge generator, and just go nuts satisfying the energy needs of California.

Somebody once described him as looking like a condom full of walnuts. It seems he combines bad acting with bad politics but that never hurt Regan did it? I used to know a very nice person who moved to California so they can't all be nuts and scum.
If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?
