Okay, guys, come on! It's not like we're gonna steal your music as our own! It's somewhat annoying to have these sound quotas. I was wondering if you could do anything about them. I like to listen to these tricks, but I often can't because of the quotas. What I'm trying to say is, could you guys either remove them or explain them?
Sound quotas

Guitartricks is free to you. It is NOT free to Jon. He has put up some advertising, which pays for a certain amount of bandwidth and storage capacity, but not much. Having sound quotas (which I believe is 5 sound files per person per day) keeps the total bandwidth used by the site low enough to be paid for by advertising. If you and others downloaded 20+ a day, you'd either have to give Jon some money, or he'd have to put more pop-ups - neither of which you would want. Jon's idea of a quota system keeps this free for us, and you should be glad.
I know the frustration, though. Sometimes I forget that I already download 5 today and I find a trick I really want to listen to, but can't. I just copy/paste the URL into notepad, save it on desktop as goheretomorrow.txt or something and get it the next day. No problem.
Did that clear up everything?

"You must stab him in the heart with the Bone Saber of Zumacalis... well, you could stab him in the head or the lungs, too... and the saber, it probably doesn't have to be bone, just anything sharp lying around the house... you could poke him with a pillow and kill him."

Sorry, I understand now. I said an explanation was all I needed, and that was a good one. Hooray for sound quotas.

Yeh, that is the situation. It costs like .002 cents to give you a 250kb file and I get paid like .002 cents for a popup. They only want to give you about 5 popups per day, so there you go. It doesn't sound like much until it is x5000 people, then we got a problem. I am making the numbers up, but they are close.
Right now we serve about 1.5GB of files every day, in case you were interested.
In the near future, we will set things up so that for a fee you can download a lot more files, and we will have video and other interesting improvements.

Yeah, but shouldn't they pay you more per popup seeing as how this website gets a lot of hits?
